Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Section 167
Eligibility for participation in this program is limited to migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their dependents who are:
- a citizen or a lawfully admitted permanent resident alien
- member of a disadvantage family which receives public assistance excluding Food Stamps or whose annual income is less than 70 person of the Lower Living Standard Income Level
- Received at least 50% of his/her earned income from farmwork or was employed at least 50% of his/her total work time in farmwork.
- Been employed at least 25 days in farmwork or earned at least $800 a year in farmwork.
